
NSCN (I-M) and the Nagaland Gaon Buras’ Federation (NGBF) on September 4 resolved to strengthen the on-going “Indo-Naga” peace talks and seek an honourable, acceptable, early and lasting solution.
According to NSCN(I-M) through its MIP, the resolution was made after a consultative meeting held at Niathu Resort, Dimapur. The NSCN (I-M) delegation was led by its chairman Q Tuccu and vice-chairman Tongmeth Wangnao while NGBF was led by its president Shahlem Konyak and general secretary Shikuto Zalipu.
MIP said issues pertaining to Naga political affairs and the need to coming together of all warring Naga political groups were discussed at great length during the meeting.
The meeting also resolved that the cry for reconciliation and unity within the Naga family must be respected. Hence, the two sides stressed on effort to bring together all Naga political groups to be pursued with all seriousness in the larger political interest of Naga people and their posterity.
