
Farewell programme was held for retiring director of Technical Education, Er. Arjun Singh on August 31, attended by minister of Higher & Technical Education, Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along along with commissioner & secretary, Imjung M. Panger.
A press release by media officer to the minister stated that, Temjen Imna Along speaking on the occasion, asserted that Er. Arjun Singh was a gentleman of high calibre, who had tirelessly served the department and the people of the state. Minister also added that his sincerity and dedication towards his assigned duties and responsibilities were worthy to be noted and honored. Imjung M. Panger, also conveyed his appreciation to the outgoing director for his untiring service rendered to the department.
Arjun Singh in his farewell speech, shared his experiences and expressed sincere gratitude to the minister, commissioner and secretary and his colleagues in the secretariat, and his subordinate officers in the directorate. He further went on to say that Nagas were polite and kind and that Nagaland was the safest place to stay.
Earlier, farewell programme was chaired by Tiakaba Amer, project director, invocation pronounced by Er. David Tsela, principal in-charge of ICIT Mokokchung.
Farewell speeches were delivered by Er. Keyiekhru Rhutso, principal, Government Polytechnic Kohima, Dr. Abeni Lotha, director of Higher Education and Er. Vipulhou Lhounyu, officer on special duty.
