Excise Mobile Squad (EMS) unit Dimapur raided various suspected liquor joints at Purana Bazar and highway area and seized a total of 1909 bottles of assorted liquor on September 16.
A press release by superintendent of Excise & Prohibition (MS), Dimapur, K. Toshiho Yeptho stated that, seven persons have been arrested in this connection and penalised under relevant section of NLTP Act. The seized articles have been deposited at unit’s malkhana for destruction. Vigilance and duty have been ramped up in order to check illegal activities related to liquor. The EMS team was led by inspectors Hevito Zhimomi and Limatola.
