Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES) Dimapur mobilised a quick response team from Fire Station Dimapur (West) upon receiving a fire call at 1:27 pm on September 17 at Industrial Village Razhuphe (IVR), near D.C Court Office, Dimapur.
A press release by F&ES Kohima deputy SP, T. Shilu Jamir stated that, two fire tenders along with sufficient equipments & fire personnel were pressed into action. Approximately Rs. 1.50 lakhs property was lost in the inferno.
Due to timely response from Fire personnel, properties worth over Rs. 1 crore approximate could be salvaged and prevented the fire from spreading and also two gas cylinders from exploding. There was no casualty and cause of fire is due to electrical short circuit. The response team was led by duty commander SI, Thungathung T Shitiri.
