Odd-Even system to continue in Dmu

Dimapur police issued traffic regulations for non-essential vehicular movement within Dimapur town and NH-29 till Chumukedima town with effect from October 5 to 31.

Commissioner of Police (CP) Dimapur, Rothihu Tetso notified that the Odd-Even system for vehicles in Dimapur will continue but restriction would not be enforced on Sundays. Those under essential services category as notified earlier would be exempted including two-wheelers.

Further, government servants on bona fide duties and vehicles involved in providing essential services/involved in COVID-19 related duties will be exempted on production of relevant documents and valid ID proof. 

All heavy vehicles, except those engaged in four-lane construction works with valid permit, would be restricted from plying within the town area and highway area from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Odd number day: Monday, Wednesday and Friday for vehicles with registration number ending with 1,3,5,7&9 

Even number day: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for vehicles with registration number ending with 2,4,6,8 & 0.
