Highway patrolling team of Kohima Police intercepted one unregistered white Gypsy while conducting MVCP at Peducha and detected 654 (six hundred fifty four) bottles of illegal codeine cough syrup on October 12.
According to Police/PRO, in this connection, one person namely Lichithung Kithan, S/o Yankho Kithan, village Yikhum, present address Etsutchukha Colony, Wokha, was arrested and the illegal drugs along with the vehicle have been seized. Accordingly, a case has been registered at Sechü (Zubza) Police Station under relevant sections of NDPS Act for the purpose of further investigation.
