
An awareness activity in collaboration with mobile medical unit (MMU) Phek was conducted by Phek interpersonal education communication (IEC) team comprising of district media officer NHM, compoter & block extension educator (BEE) at Mutsale village, Khuza and Chepoketa villages on October 12.
A press release by NHM Phek stated that, awareness was conducted with the pregnant women and lactating mothers on the importance of ante-natal check-up (ANC) immunization and breastfeeding.
Total of 78 people availed the free check-up conducted by Kiviholi (GNM) and Keni lab-tech of MMU team. Altogether 12 pregnant women availed ante-natal check-up, 41 screened for diabetes and 5 were screened for RDT (Malaria). Targeting the pregnant women and elderly people the MMU team have been giving free services every month.
