DAYO condemns forced closure of transport agency

October 29, 2020 | by admin

Condemning the alleged forced closure of East India Transport Agency run by two Sumi sisters at Golaghat Road here by anti-social elements on October 19, Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) has appealed to all civil society organisations (CSOs) not only to condemn such crimes but also try and check them, report to government agencies and control growth of such evil practices that hampered the growth and well being of “our society”.

DAYO said it was high time that everyone unite and fight the syndicate system that was stalling economic growth and creating fear psychosis in the minds of entrepreneurs and public.
Pointing out that the two Naga lady entrepreneurs were forced to close their shutters due to non-compliance of syndicate’s dictates and notices, DAYO termed this as “very alarming” and had come at a time when citizens of the State, especially Dimapur, are voicing their support for peace and trying to attract investors from outside, besides promoting local entrepreneurs who are trying to start business for self sufficiency and economic independence.
DAYO said such anti-social elements were a menace and the biggest hindrance to build Dimapur into a better city and demanded that the government take this matter seriously and bring the culprits to book and punish them by putting behind bars forever. “It is the duty of the government to protect citizens and provide a welfare State where everyone can live in peace and harmony,” the release stressed.
