The Wokha District Chamber of Commerce & Industry (WDCCI) in collaboration with Wokha Town Council (WTC) seized all single-use plastic polythene carrying bags on Thursday at Wokha town.
A press release by WDCCI media cell stated that the checking was done as per the government notification as well as the notification issued by the office of Wokha Town Council to ban single use of plastic products.
WDCCI informed that the checking on single-use plastic bags would continue on a weekly basis.
In this regard, it has appealed to all business establishments to stop the supply/demand chain on the banned single-use plastic polythene carry bags and find alternate means to fill the market demand to avoid any inconvenience in the future.
