Based on specific input, security forces in joint operation with police, apprehended seven active cadres and four “over ground workers of Nikki Sumi group” on June 23 at Thilixu Village area, Dimapur.
In a press release, PIB (Defence Wing) informed that the arrested persons were running and carrying out extortion activities in National Highway.
PIB informed that three point 32 pistols with magazines, 25 point 32 live ammunition and some incriminating documents were recovered during the operation.
The apprehended individuals along with recovered items have been handed over to Diphupar Police Stationfor further investigation, informed the release.
