
Under the initiative of Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), the state government has partnered with Indian Record Mfg. (INRECO), also known as Hindusthan Records – the first Indian owned music label, for ‘Voice of TaFMA’, a virtual solo singing competition. This was announced on Saturday.
According to reports, the competition would comprise of original songs incorporating of English, Hindi & Nagamese.
Advisor to CM, Abu Metha took to Twitter and wished that the venture would promote music and create opportunities for the youth.

@TafmaNaga is partnering with @HindusthanR – India’s First owned music label inaugurated by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore in 1932…” Metha tweeted.
TaFMA advisor, Theja Meru also took to Twitter and expressed gratitude to the Hindusthan Records.
“Thank you @HindusthanR for your support, TaFMA is truly honoured to partner with your brand name and music heritage”, Theja Meru said in a tweet.
The Indian Record Mfg. Co. Ltd., started with a wide range of artistes from Punjabi to Bhojpuri to Marathi, Tamil and Malayalam. Among the artistes recorded were Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Pt.Mallikarjun Mansur, Pt. Kumar Gandarva, Ustad Amir Khan and Manna Dey.
