Talk on ‘psychology as a career at LFIC

Livingstone Foundation International (LFI) College, department of psychology organised a talk on “psychology as a career” on November 5 with clinical psychologist, government of Rajasthan, Shenu Salestine Richa.

LFI College informed that Richa highlighted various career choices a student could pursue after completing BA degree in psychology and also addressed various pros and cons of each field. 

She said that in order to be successful in the field of psychology, one must have: analytical mind for diagnosis; excellent communication skills to effectively counsel patients who suffer from mental/behavioral issues; patience; genuine passion for helping people overcome their own mental/behavioral challenges and compassion combined with drive. 

She said that career as a psychologist included various lucrative branches such as clinical psychology, health psychology and others.
