
Taste of Noklak Society (TONS), a society formed by Noklak farmers and SP Noklak, launched 15 products which included Mithun meat pickles, Michinga, neem and lemon soaps, aloe vera and neem gels, tulsi products, lotions and other herbal products at Noklak in presence of DC Noklak, SP Noklak, KVK Tuensang, Noklak NGOs, Dr. Jongkoi Medical Department and TONS on November 4.
According to a DIPR report, delivering the origin and works of the society, TONS chairperson, M Mongshai stated that it was SP Noklak Dr. Pritpal Kaur who started the society by giving them name of TONS to help women, students and entrepreneurs who were trained at CIH Medziphema and KVK Tuensang.
The programme was chaired by member of TONS, Cham. member of TONS Sungmo gave the welcome note and
superintendent of police Noklak, Dr. Pritpal Kaur, in her speech congratulated everyone on successful step ahead of value addition.
Meanwhile, farm management was explained by Yanger Kichu from KVK Tuensang.
DC Noklak, Hiazu Meru, lit the candle of hope and stated that farming was one of the emerging sectors where educated youth could make good career.
He explained the concept of division of labour where farmers on one end and value addition by SHGs on another end should work as teams.
KVK Longmayanger explained about apps of agriculture.
TONS along with Noklak FPO would represent CIH Medziphema on November 11 at Horticulture Expo and Delhi exhibition with the help of CIH Medziphema.
