Dance and singing competition in commemoration of Children’s Day was organized by Childline, Dimapur in collaboration with District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Christian Higher Secondary School and Child Friendly Dimapur, AIDA on November 14 at Christian Higher Secondary School, Covenant Hall, Dimapur.
The winner from age group 4-12 in singing competition was Catherine; runners-up was Jentiya and consolation prizes were given to Atokali, Illia and Vetili. The winner from age group 13-18 in singing competition was Polina, runners-up was bagged by Kherila and consolation prizes were given to Tiamongba, Lusuinei and Temsuchiba
The dance competition had to be postponed due to shortage of time.
The programme was graced by SDO Hotolu, DCP Dimapur Zone-II, Munesh IPS, Lino Awomi, Sunep Lemtur, Eva Jamir, Nungshitula Pongener and attended by nearly 500 people from across Dimapur.
The programme was chaired by coordinator Childline, Dimapur, Lozua Kape; invocation was pronounced by pastor Central Christian Revival Church, Vizovolie Sorhie; welcome address by coordinator Child Friendly Dimapur, AIDA, Katia Chakre; short speeches were delivered by SDO Hotolu and DCP Dimapur, Zone-II, Munesh IPS while special songs were presented by Lino Awomi, Sunep Lemtur and Nungshitula Pongener.
