Ajen link road under Khensa village was inaugurated by Imkong L Imchen, MLA, here, on Saturday.
Speaking at the programme, Imkong said that the strength and unity among Khensa villagers made it possible to successfully complete the project in record time.
He urged the villagers to maintain the same spirit of unity so that they would go on to succeed in all the works that they did.
The MLA also expressed hope that the newly constructed road would be a blessing through which the villagers of Khensa would prosper.
Earlier, Imkong unveiled the foundation stone for the road after a dedicatory prayer from the Khensa Baptist Church pastor followed by inaugural programme.
At the programme, the road construction report was given by Imtisungzuk and convener, survey committee Nengshiremba.
Short speeches were also delivered by Longritemsu (Samen), Dr. Watijungshi (Khensa village development advisory board).
It may be mentioned that the link road covering a distance of 5.3 km was constructed under the LADP iconic project with the initiative of Imkong L Imchen.
The link road was also a part of the resolution adopted during the Khensa Senso Mungdang platinum jubilee held on December 2020.
