FIR filed against firm for ‘damage of pvt land, encroachment’ in Wka

Former Wokha Village Council chairman Zuchanbemo Lotha has filed police complaint (FIR) against general manager and project manager of Anusha Project Pvt. Ltd. New Village, Wokha for allegedly “stealing property and damaging land areas”.

In the FIR filed at Wokha police station, which was also made available to the media, Zuchanbemo demanded immediate arrest of the two within two days.

He said that despite several information for an amicable solution, the firm failed to respond. He also said that a letter for settlement before legal action was also dispatched on October 28, 2021 through the office of DC Wokha.

Zuchanbemo claimed that the company besides damaging their land/area also “excavated area/land” and took away all the “huge stones and boulders nearly for four (4) months without payment.”

In this regard, he said the family members of late Renthungo Kithan and Sons have laid down several demands and notice.

“Under any circumstances or conditions they must not be released or bailed out from jail until an amount of payment is cleared for the stones and damaged land area is compensated adequately to our family,” he said. He further said that during this period they will not allow the company to function any kind of activities in their land/area until the issue was settled.
