A book titled “Crossroad, Concise Historical Events in the Naga Political Struggle” written by Dr. Hokishe Yeputhomi, advisor Nagaland Tribal Council and former president Sumi Hoho was released by Nikheto Zhimomi, president Sumi Hoho at Sumi Baptist Church Zunheboto on Sunday.
Nikheto said that the book would assist a great deal to history scholars and writers since it encloses lots of important subjects.
While congratulating the author, he also challenged the young educated generation that if an eighty seven year old man could write a book why not them and reminded them that the success of the octogenarian should be an eye opener for them.
Author of the book, Dr. Hokishe disclosed that it took him more than two year to write this book. The book is an ultra-compact documental volume which covers almost the entire Naga historical events and agreements that transpired from 12th century AD to the present context. Yeputhomi further stated that although written in brief, the book could aid the researchers and scholars alike as they could easily extract their needs.
On the occasion, secretary mission and evangelism SBAK Nito Mount, Vihoto Awomi offered a dedicatory prayer.
Meanwhile, Dr. Hokishe expressed sincere gratitude to Dr. Hutton Sümi, pastor Sumi Baptist Church Zunheboto for giving him the opportunity to release the book in the church and also thanked Nikheto Zhimomi and all apex Sümi frontal organizations for their presence at the launching programme.
