Tseminyu welcomes first DC, SP

With the creation of Tseminyu as the 13th district of Nagaland, a civic reception programme for the first Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Superintendent of Police (SP) was held on January 10 at RSA ground, Tseminyu. Dr. Zasekuolie Chusi  and Kanchan Kandpal Kumar will served as the first DC and SP of the newly declared district.

While welcoming the officers, advisor Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services and Women Resources Development, R Khing on behalf of the Rengma community expressed gratitude to chief minister and the cabinet ministers for declaring Tseminyu as the district. 

Khing hoped that the officers would bring positive changes to the newly created district while asserting that they still lagged behind with the others tribes. 

He also urged the citizens to be a law abiding people and extend continuous support to the police and administrators to move forward.  

Dr. Zasekuolie in his speech sought cooperation from all citizens, societies and organizations and expressed joy for the warm reception by the people of the district. Stating the under his supervision the district would fight for equal opportunities, Dr.  Zasekuolie sought for cooperation from all sections without any political colour. 

Kanchan Kandpal Kumar in his speech expressed excitement to be posted in the new born district. Recalling his early posting in Tuensang as SDPO and stated that with this new journey, Kumar hoped that Tseminyu would be a model district not only within Nagaland but across the country.
