N agaland governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, chief minister Neiphiu Rio and deputy chief minister Y Patton have extended greetings to the Kachari community on the occasion of Bishu festival. In his message, Prof. Mukhi said that the post-harvest festival fosters love, reconciliation and courtesy and a time when the rich cultural and spiritual practices are in full display.
CM: Neiphiu Rio in a tweet greeted the Kachari community.
“May the post-harvest festival of thanksgiving bring blessings of good health, happiness and peace in everyone’s life. I wish you all a safe and a happy celebration,” Rio tweeted.
Dy.CM: In his message, Y. Patton said “festivals are celebrated to remind ourselves of the great legacy left behind by our ancestors.” On behalf of the state BJP legislators, Patton extended Bishu greetings and hoped that the festival would foster greater friendship and goodwill among the people.
