Viswema observes 39th Tragopan Club day

Viswema village observed its 39th Tragopan Club day on January 26 at Rachii Panchayat Hall, Viswema.
Speaking on the occasion, Puzashe Lcho recalled how the club started without any funds and after 39 years of its formation has built a good relationship amongst the villagers.
He said that the club took initiative in promoting indigenous games such as Pcheda and Torii and organised sanitation day by keeping the village clean. He therefore encouraged the Club to continue with their activities and suggested sporting activities be included in their calendar.
Secretary report was provided by Vitho Neikha, who highlighted on the activities taken up by the club. It was followed by handing and taking over by the new team of office bearers for the term 2021- 23. This year the club also gave away the academic awards (highest aggregate mark) in HSLC to Nokerhenu Neikha (Mezhur HSS), HSSLC -Choshenn Kweho (Mezhur HSS) and under graduate category- Obinu Pusa (Japfu Christian College). A cash award of Rs. 2000 each was handed over to all of them.
