Rainfall likely over NE region

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that isolated thunderstorms/lightning was very likely over the North East region during next 24 hours.
In its bulletin, IMD informed that under the influence of Western Disturbance scattered to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall was very likely over Arunachal Pradesh and isolated to scattered rainfall over Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura on January 27 & 28, 2022.
It also predicted isolated light rainfall over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on January 27 & 28 and dry weather thereafter.
Further, the met department stated that dense fog conditions in isolated pockets in night/morning hours was very likely over Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during next 48 hours.
