Organisations condemn physical abuse of minor boy

Various organisations have condemned the alleged physical abuse of a minor boy working as a domestic helper by the house owner at Mokokchung Town.
CTS: Changsao Thangjam Setshang (CTS) strongly condemning the brutal physical abuse of a minor boy expressed shock and pain to learn about the severe physical injury inflicted upon the minor. In a condemnation note, CTS president, Y Akala and general secretary, T Khumla said such action was “extremely heinous and depraved and totally unexpected of in today’s civilised society”.
CTS appealed every right-thinking citizen to not remain silent but to condemn the cruel action. It also called upon the higher authority to deliver justice at the earliest and punish the culprit as deemed under law.
Further, CTS expressed sympathy with the victim and prayed that he would quickly recover from mental and physical trauma.
ENWOD: Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation Dimapur (ENWOD) president, N. Langmei Phom and general secretary, Hongsangsonla Chang have strongly condemned the physical abuse upon a minor child from Chang community. ENWOD said such cruel act committed against a minor child was unimaginable and disheartening and added that such action should not only be considered a physical assault but also an attempt to life and threat to humanity.
Further, ENWOD has appealed the law enforcing agency to leave no stone unturned in pursuing the matter so as to deliver justice to the minor victim and many such inhuman actions.
Watus Mungdang: Watsu Mungdang has expressed regret on the “inhuman act” treatment of a minor nine-year-old boy at Mokokchung.
In a condemnation note, Watsu Mungdang president, S. Arenla Longkumer and general secretary, Sungtireben stated that the Mungdang was “aghast by this dastardly act” and by tarnishing the image of the Ao womenfolk.
Expressing sympathy with the victim and his family members, the Mungdang urged upon the law enforcing agencies to award befitting punishment to the perpetrator as per the law so that any such ugly incidents in future were not repeated.
OKM: Ongpangkong Students’ Conference (OKM) has also strongly condemned the “barbarous act” committed against a minor boy on April 27 at Alempang Ward Mokokchung Town.
OKM president, Limatongzuk Jamir and assistant general secretary, Supongmeren Jamir urged the competent authority to deliver justice to the victim and demanded that the alleged offender be penalized as per the law.
Earlier, Eastern Nagaland Women Organization (ENWO) and Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) while condemning the alleged physical abuse of a minor boy working as a domestic helper by the house owner at Mokokchung town have demanded the state government to take serious cognizance and ensure that justice was delivered without delay.
