Best teacher, student awarded at GHSS Wka

Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Wokha organized its 3rd annual award ceremony on December 9 at the School Auditorium with EAC, Wokha Rosy Sangtam as the special guest. A DIPR report stated that Sangtam congratulated the senior principal of GHSS, Y. Vungthungo for initiating the event for the teachers, staff and students.
She said such kind of activities will encourage the teachers to render their services effectively as well as motivate the students to pursue their academic careers with excellence.
In his speech, principal Y. Vungthungo said that the event was organized to acknowledge the teachers, staff and students who have made outstanding contributions in their field of activity.
He mentioned that the annual award ceremony started in 2018 under his initiative to provide a holistic approach towards the development of the school.
On the occasion, best teacher of the year was bagged by B. John Kikon (PGT) and Abemo Ezung (GT), regular teacher of the year award went to Imodangba (PGT) and Subeno (GT), Khonzani Tsanglao (PGT) and Yiben (GT) were named class teacher of the year, employee of the year was bagged by Chumchamo Ovung (LDA), grade iv employee of the year to Chipow Murry, while Manisha Kumari (class 10) and Lochumbeni T Ngullie (Class 12) were named the best student of the year.
