On the occasion of the Republic Day 2023, three police personnel and one fire service personnel from Nagaland have been awarded President’s medal for their services.
Etssimongo Ngullie, DIG (Range) Mokokchung was awarded President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service while Israel G Xuivi, Deputy Commandant, 6th NAP Bn. Tizit and Abel Jonsou Humtose, UB Inspector, INT Hq. Kohima were awarded Police Medal for Meritorious Service. Meanwhile, Zhasalie Napranotsu, Dty SP (F&ES) has been awarded Fire Service Medal.
According to Home ministry 901 police personnel were awarded the Police Medals and 140 awarded Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG), 93 awarded President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PPM) and 668 awarded Police Medal for Meritorious Service (PM).
Further, 47 fire service personnel been awarded Fire Service Medals.
