Advisor Imkongmar visits sericulture farms

Advisor of Minority Affairs and Sericulture, Imkongmar along with department officials visited government sericulture farms and district sericulture offices from May 19-22.
According to a DIPR report, during the visit, meetings were held in all the places with the respective officers and staff of the districts in some of the farms/offices.
Speaking at the meetings, the advisor appealed to the farm officials to work hard with dedication and emphasize more on farm production to generate more revenue.
Imkongmar suggested organizing awareness programmes for the farmers from time to time and also selecting the farmers based on their performances.
The advisor accompanied by director, T. Sanny Pongener, and officials of the directorate visited government Sericulture Farms at Tsiesema Village, Kohima; Wokha Village, Wokha; VK, Zunheboto; Ungma village, Mokokchung; Dhansiripar village, Chumukedima; Samaguri village, Dimapur and District Sericulture Offices at Mokokchung and Dimapur districts.
