Mongsenbai Ward clinched the championship title, of the 3rd 27th Mokokchung Town A/C (NDPP) Youth Organization (MTYO), Football Tournament by beating Kumlong ward team by 2 goals to 1, at the Imkomgmeren Sports Complex on Thursday.
In his address as the chief match patron, minister of rural development & SIRD, Metsubo Jamir stated that the tournament should be played in the spirit to foster unity, to lead others.
He was hopeful that the 9 Assembly Constituencies would follow suit to have a common tournament, irrespective of party lines and to promote brotherhood. The closing function was chaired by 27 A/C general secretary( admn), Aochuba Longkumer, the invocation was said by Christ Church pastor Imliwapang, while the vote of thanks was proposed by general secretary, Takonungsang.
