Speaking on the issue of cleanliness in and around Dimapur, Humtsoe said was the bounded duty of every citizens of Dimapur to keep the city clean and not only to depend on Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC).
Regarding Gutka and pan stains in the recently inaugurated Vertical Garden, Humtsoe lamented that even though dustbins were kept at the site, people ended up spitting in the beautified locations. He expressed shock over the fact that some of the dustbins kept at the location were stolen or destroyed.

He further said that TBD had requested district administration to keep check on the area by providing security personnel and requested public visiting the area to avoid spitting at the beautified sculptures.

Administrator, DMC, W Manpai Phom, in his address acknowledged TBD for continuously taking ways and means to keep Dimapur city clean and also acknowledged the team for their contribution and continuous support to keep Dimapur clean. He opined the campaign as an important step and wished all luck to the team for the campaign.
He also assured all assistance from DMC to make the campaign successful.

Phom opined that awareness on waste management, simply having an event or cleanup programme would not sustain the movement, unless started from scratch.
