WSH flays kidnapping culture

The Western Sümi Hoho (WSH) has strongly condemned the “kidnapping culture” that was on the rise in recent times. In a statement, WSH said that most of the kidnappings were done because of monetary reasons by various groups demanding some amount of money.

Terming the abduction of one businessman from the state capital by an underground faction recently as highly condemnable, the WSH denounced such deplorable acts that had overtaken the Naga society. The hoho demanded that it should be made public which group or faction was involved in such cases of extortion and kidnappings so that the people could know who were the ones that were going against their will.

The hoho cautioned that such continuous acts were going to invite the public wrath in the coming days if those doing these despicable acts did not restrain themselves and stopped from such anti-social acts that were jeopardising the peaceful co-existence and harmony among different communities.
