49th session of KASA GB’s trophy concludes

The 49th session of Khaghaboto Area Sports Association (KASA) GB’s trophy was held at Phuhoto village under Niuland district from November 20-25, 2023 with Kakheto G Zhimomi, kilonser caretake CAO UT-I, NSCN (I-M), as chief guest and H Akaito Sumi as guest of honour.

In a press release, KASA president and general secretary informed that badminton (men and women), volleyball (men and women) and football were organised during the six-day annual sporting event.

In the football tourney, Yehokhu team emerged as champion and Sunito team finished runner-up. Best player was awarded to Ometo of Shitoi team, highest scorer to Bepeto Achumi of Hevishe team, best goalkeeper to Nupaho Yeptho of Yehokhu team and best defender to Kughato Yeptho of Sunito team.

In badminton men’s doubles, Khulu Shohe and Tokishe Yeptho of Sunito team were adjudged as champion while Ighato Chiqhe and Kavi Aye of Ghonivi team were selected as runner-up.

In badminton women’s doubles, Kalio Chophi and Likika Chishi of Hevishe team and Nikali Zhimo and Lily Awomi of Phuhoto team were declared as champion and runner-up respectively. In volleyball (women), Phuhoto team and Shitoi team emerged as champion and runner-up respectively while in volleyball (men), Pishikhu B team and Pishikhu A team were declared as champion and runner-up respectively.
