NLSF’s 25th anniv celebration ends

Nagaland Law Students’ Federation (NLSF)’s two-day silver jubilee celebration under the theme, “Forging Equitable Justice” culminated Wednesday at the Capital Convention Centre, New Secretariat Road, Kohima.


According to DIPR reports, at the valedictory programme, the valedictory guest, Senior Advocate C T Jamir from Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench, emphasised the evolving landscape of legal practice and the challenges faced in contemporary legal proceedings.
He provided insights into the changing dynamics of the legal field, especially with the increasing use of digital revolution and artificial intelligence in court hearings.


Jamir advised the law students to aspire to become competent lawyers, considering the advancements in technology and the legal profession. He shed light on the importance of addressing issues such as the shortage of law students, lawyers, and judges in Nagaland. Jamir also urged them to work hard and aspire to become judges or advocates, playing a crucial role in delivering equitable justice to all.


Earlier, Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingian Longkumer and president of the Nagaland Bar Association, Advocate Akito Zhimomi, were the special guest and theme speaker of the inaugural programme on December 12.

The special guest, Sharingain Longkhumer, released the jubilee souvenir and emphasized the importance of high-value practices through which the federation and law students can contribute meaningfully to the people of the state. Advocate Akito Zhimomi highlighted the significance of promoting fairness and justice in society.
