Camp mode registration-cum-awareness on PMV

A two-day camp mode registration-cum-awareness event on Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma (PMV) scheme was held on January 19-20 at Senden Riju, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur. According to a DIPR report, the event was organised by the office of MSME-DFO, Dimapur, Nagaland in association with the Department of Industries and Commerce, government of Nagaland and Business Association of Nagas (BAN).


The two-day camp was virtually inaugurated by Union Minister MSME, Narayan Rane. During the inaugural event, the Union Minister also virtually inaugurated the Nagaland Tools and Training Centre Extension centre at Kiphire and Common Facility Centre (CFC) in Wooden Furniture Cluster, Toluvi Industrial Park, Dimapur. The foundation stone for Technology Centre on Medicinal and Aromatic plant at Razaphe Basa, Chümoukedima was also virtually laid by the Union Minister during the program.


The union minister highlighted the intent of the central government to uplift and improve the livelihood of the Vishwakarmas by bringing them into the mainstream economy through the introduction of this scheme and other schemes and programmmes of the MSMEs tailored especially for Women Entrepreneurs, SC/ STs etc to create new opportunities for growth.


Secretary MSME, S. L. Das, exhorted the gathering and Ashutosh Niranjan, IAS, director PMVK, Ministry of MSME highlighted the provisions of the scheme. Resource persons from Financial Institutions, RBI Kohima, Common Service Centre, NSDC, Employment Skill Development and Entrepreneurship also enlightened the participants.
