NSCN (R) PRO surrenders

Assam Rifles has claimed that the Public Relation Officer of NSCN-R (Reformation) has surrendered along with .22 mm pistol and two live rounds at Aboi, Mon district. A press release by PRO, HQ IGAR (North) the relentless efforts of Assam Rifles lead to surrender of the PRO who was “highly active” since 2015 with NSCN-R, and was involved in “extortion, cadre move and logistics arrangements” for the group. PRO said the security forces proactively pursued the cadre for the last few months “convincing him to surrender and join the mainstream”.
