With the announcement of the election to the lone Lok Sabha seat on April 19 by Election Commissions of India (ECI), the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and District Election Officers (DEOs), Additional Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Assistant Election Officers (AEOs) have also issued notices.


Trainings were also conducted for polling personnel wherein master trainers sensitised the trainees on rules and regulations of the ECI and also familiarised them about the usage of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT).


DC & DEO Longleng: DC and DEO Longleng has informed that the second phase training for the presiding officers, first polling officer, second polling officer, third polling officer and MTS would be held on April 8-9.


DC and DEO informed that polling personnel stationed in and around Longleng town may choose to attend the training on April 8, 9:30 a.m. at Bautung Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Longleng and those stationed in and around Tamlu Sub-Division on April 9, 10 a.m. at ADC Office, Tamlu.


Further, DC and DEO Longleng has asked polling personnel, who are yet to apply for Election Duty Certificate (EDC), to bring a photocopy of EPIC card/ government service ID card and two recent passport size photographs for availing EDC and Election ID card.
DC & DEO Wokha: DC and DEO Wokha has informed all requisitioned vehicles under Wokha district to report on April 16, 10 a.m. at Public Ground, Wokha.


Dimapur, Niuland & Chümou: DC and DEO Dimapur has informed that the second phase training for polling personnel of Dimapur, Niuland and Chümoukedima would be held on April 4-5 at Dimapur Government College, Dimapur. It has been informed that training for presiding officers and first polling officers would be held on April 4, 10 a.m. onwards, while second and third polling officers would be trained on April 9, 10 a.m. onwards.


Kiphire: The first and second phase trainings for polling personnel was held on April 2 at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Kiphire.


Kohima: The second randomization of polling personnel for Kohima district was done in the presence of General Observer (Observer Code G-18147) P. Ramesh, IAS and Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Kohima Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, at DC Office Kohima on April 2.
