AR conduct various activities

Assam Rifles (AR) under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General of Assam Rifles (IGAR-North) conducted various programmes and activities.

Zunheboto: A tree plantation drive was organised by the Assam Rifles on April 5 at Zunheboto Town, with a focus on sustainability and community involvement. The initiative was aimed to mitigate deforestation and enhance green cover and promote environmental awareness among students of Zunheboto Government College.

Besides the plantation drive, information session was also conducted to raise awareness about the role of trees in combating climate change, prevention of soil erosion and maintenance of overall ecosystem.

Tobu: Assam Rifles joined Aoleang festival celebration on April 4 at Tobu Village, Mon, marking the arrival of spring and celebrating the bountiful harvest with the Konyak community. AR said the festivities showcased a rich tapestry of cultural dances.
