United Sangtam Likhüm Pümji (USLP) has appealed to all the citizens to “prioritize peace and prosperity” and to refrain from engaging in any form of violence or conflict under Sangtam jurisdiction.
In a public notice, USLP president K.Aliba Sangtam and vice president L. Kipitong Sangtam said the organisation was making an appeal in the spirit of unity and progress within its region and to avoid unwanted circumstances. “It is our collective responsibility to maintain a harmonious environment where all can thrive,” USLP stated.
Apex Sangtam tribal body also called upon all to nurture an environment where everyone felt safe, respected, and empowered “to contribute to the collective well-being for all-round development.”
“This is a solemn appeal to the general public under Sangtam jurisdiction irrespective of any tribes or castes,” it added.
USLP cautioned that failure to comply with its notice would prompt the organisation to take the necessary action as deemed appropriate to safeguard the well-being of its people.
