Dimapur Zone Ao Officers’ Forum (DZAOT) held its 2nd annual general body meeting and felicitation programme to felicitate the successful UPSC 2023 achiever, Imsurenla Longkumer (AIR 774) on May 25 at the IMC Hall, Dimapur.


A press release by DZAOT informed that the main speaker of the programme, commissioner and secretary and state mission director, Samagra Shiksha, Temsunaro Aier, highlighted the major role played by the officers in all the departments under the state government.


Aier said, all the DZAOF members, who are posted and working under the Dimapur zone, were the most “privileged group among the officers” serving in different places. She acknowledged their capability and smartness in managing to serve in the commercial capital of the state.


She urged the members to serve their respective departments diligently with outmost sincerity and to develop a sense of responsibility while discharging their duties. Aier also encouraged the members to work honestly for the welfare of the public, as they are few privileged among many people.


While congratulating Imsurenla Longkumer on her success, Aier wished her great success in all her future endeavours and encouraged her to provide her best service to the people of Nagaland.
Speeches were also delivered by Imsurenla Longkumer and the presidents of Ao Senso Telongjem of both Dimapur and Chümoukedima.


The programme began with an invocation prayer by Nagaland Baptist Pastors’ Union president, Imnatoshi Longkumer; welcome address by DZAOT president, Imosong Imsong; dedicatory prayer by associate pastor, DABA, Imtiakum; special songs were presented by Nungshitula Pongener and Samaro Band; vote of thanks by DZAOT vice president, R. Atsungba Tzudir.


The programme was attended by hundreds of DZAOF members including invitees from the students’ Union, Ao Youth Organization, Ao Unions and Women’s’ Organization from Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Medziphema and Jalukie areas.
