Two-day, Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) innovative challenge, orchestrated by YouthNet, with support of Startup Nagaland, Department of Industries and Commerce, was held at Kiphire and Chozuba GHSSs, on July 24 and 25. The event was organised to cultivate spirit of innovation and entrepreneurial zeal among students, and also to inspire and empower the next generation of entrepreneurs in Nagaland, encouraging students to develop creative solutions and business ideas.
A press release by YouthNet informed that day one featured formal training programme designed to equip students with essential entrepreneurial skills, and day two witnessed participants presenting their innovative ideas during pitching session, where they received valuable feedback and cash prizes for winners.
Startup founders of Clefnote Music Academy and Store Pvt. Ltd and Pungro Power Soil Innovator, shared their entrepreneurial journey to the students at Kiphire GHSS, while in Chozuba GHSS, Startup founders of Tsivi Self Care Pvt. Ltd. and Abi Weaves guided and shared their entrepreneurial journey.
To promote Startup culture and innovation amongst youth in Nagaland, department of Industries and Commerce has partnered with YouthNet since 2021 and has set up 16 EDCs in education institutions across 16 districts of Nagaland with over 1300 students enrolled across the state. EDC provides critical facilities such as plug-n-play working space, and internet connectivity along with research and testing labs.
