DC Tsg holds emergency meeting at relief camp

Deputy commissioner, Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa held an emergency meeting at the relief camp on August 5, thathas been in operation since August 1 after several landslide and land sinking was reported at Phinjang sector and NST ward in Tuensang town.


According to DIPR report, DC highlighted the role and responsibilities of different departments at the relief camp. She also said that due to escalating situation another relief camp and night shift camp will be activated in the coming days.


She also requested that any one coming and leaving the relief camp must be reported at the DDMA Camp Tuensang Village C/khel for information and recordings. She also informed that any reporting to the Press will be done through media officer with the approval of Responsible Officer DDMA, incidental Commander and Deputy Incidental Commander.


Temsu Wangshi Jamir, Nodal officer, DDMA highlighted that relief camp will also function as consulting and rehabilitation centre where daily wages worker were paid at the centre after working at the relief camp.

DC issues travel advisory
Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa has infomed that in continuation of the order issued on August 4, 2024, National Highway 202 at Km 50.00 between Longkhim and Mangaki has been restored for Light Motor Vehicle. However, the Movement of heavy vehicles shall remain closed till further order.
