Mahila Aroghya Samiti orientation in Mokokchung

A one day orientation of Mahila Aroghya Samiti (MAS) on routine Immunization was held on August 23, at Conference Hall, CMO office Mokokchung. At the programme, CMO Mokokchung Dr.Kibangkumba called upon the MAS members to actively participate in all health related activities and encouraged them to mobilize community for access to health care services.

Rose, communication Officer, John Snow India in her speech, said that MAS was a community intervention under National Urban Health Mission- to promote community participation in health activities ,an extended community arm formed to support and facilitate families in availing health services.

RRT (WHO) Dr.Mhechekhro Mero gave a power point presentation on Routine Immunization Micro Planning, National Immunization Schedule ,MCP card and post vaccination care RI.
MO UPHC Mokokchung, Dr.Redina discussed the topic on role of MAS in non–immunization health services.
