Undisputed league champions, Lekie Mtei FC booked their berth in the final match of the ongoing second edition of Peren District Football League (PDFL) and PDFA Cup after defeating Nchangram Lun FC in the semi-final on Thursday at New Jalukie village public ground.
After the completion of the league round, all the eight participating clubs are vying for the coveted PDFA Cup title on knock-out basis starting from Wednesday. Lekie Mtei FC who was crowned the PDFL league champions thrashed Kingdom Stewards FC 5-0 in the quarter final on Wednesday. They also defeated Nchangram Lun FC 2-0 in the semifinal on Thursday.
In the first semi-final match, Lekie Mtei FC found their lead in 29th minute when Yhoto Lohe converted through a header from a crossed from Ngachanso Siro. In the second half, Yhoto Lohe doubled his goal and sealed the win in the 75 minutes through an assist by Paul.
Lekie Mtei will now face either, Puiteing FC or Kuki FC in the final, who will be locking horns on Friday to secure their berth in the final.

In the fourth quarter-final match on Thursday, defending league champion Puiteing FC thrashed Benreu FC 7-1. The first goal for Puiteing FC was scored through a penalty by Henry Kamei in 3rd minute. The season’s highest scorer Kenumdi Siarau doubled their goal in the 7th minute.
Puiteing’s third goal was scored when a confusion between the defender and the goalkeeper leading to an own goal by Gaijangam in the 12 minute.
The fourth goal for Puiteing FC was scored by Henry Lankao Kamei when his free-kick was misjudged by the goalkeeper letting the ball through into the net.
The 5th goal was scored when a well laid through ball by Graceson was taken in by the overlapping defender to finished the move with a well taken shot by Pungbabeung in the 43 minute. Right into the second half, Benreu FC scored a solitary goal for the team through a corner taken by Jangaulung to find the header of Keyidwasaplung in the 48 minute.
Puiteing’ 6th goal was scored by Kenumdi Siarau when he neatly converted in the 54 minute. The 7th goal was scored by Wibonji. The “Khamlou Man of the Match” was awarded to Henry Lankao Kamei
