Primary Health Centre (PHC) of Nokhu under Noklak district, constructed under NHM flagship programme 2017-18, was inaugurated by additional secretary, Health &Family Welfare, S. Tainiu on October 4.
According to DIPR report, at the inaugural programme, S. Tainiu encouraged the people to continue support to the department in achieving the target of better healthcare delivery system. She also requested all stake holders to protect the government assets and avail the opportunities provided by the government for improving better livelihood of the people. The special guest also unveiled the monolith of the building.
CMO Noklak, Dr. Victor NC, explained all available plans and schemes of the department. He encouraged the staffs to carry out all activities diligently in order to make the new PHC fully functional. EAC Nokhu Hq, Menlom Phom impressed upon the gathering to avoid land encroachment for smooth functioning of the PHC.
Er. Akangtemsu, Medical Engineering Wing, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare also congratulated the elders of Nokhu village and village authorities of Nokhu range for successful completion of the building and urged the people to safe guard the public property set up by the government.
A special number was presented by Tsoithen Langtha band. The building has been constructed in the donated land with the full co-operation of general public of Nokhu, Nokhu Noking, Langnok, Aniashu, Kingpao, Kingniu, Choklangan and Nokhu EAC Hq.
