Nagaland: One killed in Dimapur road mishap

A hand cart puller was killed tragically after being hit and run over by a truck at dimapur railway siding here on Monday morning.

According to traffic police, the mishap occurred at around 10.30 am Monday, when the victim who was moving along the same direction as the truck, stopped to allow the latter to pass.

However, the rear wheels of the truck hit the cart, throwing the victim under the rear tyre of the vehicle and killing him on the spot. Police have apprehended the truck driver and investigation was on. The victim has been identified as a non Naga.
