The Captain N Kengurüse football tournament is heating up, with thrilling matches and high scores marking the journey to the finals.
On Day 5, Head Hunters FC and Mez & Co secured their places in the next round with resounding victories, while Day 4 saw unforgettable comebacks and dominant performances.
During Thursday’s matches, Head Hunters FC delivered a commanding performance against Royal Naga FC, dominating the pitch and achieving a clean 5-0 victory.
Lamsanggin opened the scoring in the 16th minute, setting the tone for the match. The second half saw an unstoppable display of skill, with Chingsha scoring twice in the 58th and 68th minutes, Haidingbe added another goal in 59th minute, and Molutsupong sealing the win in the 75th minute.
Head Hunters FC’s defense held strong, securing a clean sheet and sending them confidently into the quarterfinals, where they will face Western Sumi SA in a highly anticipated showdown.
During the Quarterfinal match between Mez & Co FC and Velocity Vipers FC, the match went in favour of Mez & Co 11-0.

Gideon scored a hat-trick with his goals in the 18th, 48th, and 60th minutes, while Tohika added another two in the 23rd and 29th minutes while Vinato added two more in the 31st and 53rd minutes)
Neikethozo contributed in the 38th and 75th minutes, Yitachu scored in the 43rd, and Noune capped off the triumph in stoppage time (80+1 minute).
Mez & Co’s dominant win has set a high bar for the remaining quarterfinal teams, firmly establishing them as title contenders.
The 4th day of the tournament on Wednesday was marked by intense battles and high-scoring drama, setting the stage for the quarterfinals.
In the first match, Lengreng FC showcased resilience in a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Peace United FC.
Peace United’s D.S. Nakro struck early in the 27th minute, but Lengreng’s determination saw Ngansang equalize in the 32nd minute. Just eight minutes later, Kawijibo found the net with a powerful shot, securing a comeback victory and a place in the quarterfinals against Dynamo FC.
In the second match, Maverick FC delivered one of the most stunning performances of the tournament, crushing St. Xavier College with a 12-0 scoreline.
Kevisanyü led the charge, netting an impressive five goals in the 22nd, 36th, 56th, 67th, and 76th minutes.
Longkhoi followed closely with a hat-trick in the 25th, 42nd, 79th minutes, while Kekhrieletuo added two goals in the 28th and 62nd minutes.
Additional strikes from David in the 49th minute and Manton in the 54th minute rounded off the dominating performance.
