Nagaland governor, La Ganesan visits Kiphire; meets HoDs, CSOs

Nagaland governor, La. Ganesan, on Tuesday visited Kiphire and held interaction with head of departments and civil societies and security coordination meeting.
In his speech, governor said that he was happy to visit Kiphire district and termed it as a vibrant and promising district and appreciated the richness of its culture and people of Kiphire District.
He highlighted the PradhenMantri TB Muk Bharat Abhiyanendeavours to eliminate TB by 2025, five years ahead of the global target and urged the health care authority to enhance awareness on the PMEGP TB Muk Bharat Abhiyan. He also spoke on JJM, CMHIS and AyushMaan Bharat.
On the road construction work in the district, Ganesan said that the ongoing construction works under state PWD and NHIDCL was in progress and assured that it will be completed soon.
He added that connectivity was the life line of progress, be it trade, commerce, pathways to education. In this line, he urged the leaders, educators to renew their commitments and invigorate the institutions, inspire students and invest in the future of the district through education.
He further appealed the local communities and the civil societies to work hand in hand with the government, both at the centre and the state for sustainable and progressive development. Meanwhile, a memorandum was submitted to the governor, by president Akehta Sangtamlaru Thsingmujang (United Sangtam Women Organisation), demanding a Gynaecologist at Kiphire District Hospital to avoid hardship faced by the women community.
Earlier, the governor was received by the officials of Kiphire district at the helipad. Departmental presentations were given by Executive Engineer, PHED, Project Director DRDA and Chief Medical Officer, Health & Family Welfare, Kiphire.
