Taxes employees get

The newly constructed Flat-Type Staff Quarters at Taxes Colony, Dimapur, was inaugurated by advisor of Taxes and Civil Administration Works Division (CAWD), Kudecho Khamo on November 29 after a dedication prayer by Dr. Yanbemo, Senior Associate Pastor of Lotha Baptist Church, Dimapur.

Addressing the gathering, Khamo expressed happiness for the successful completion of the project, acknowledging the leadership of chief minister, Neiphiu Rio and the dedication of the project team led by Er. Ketousielie Kengurusie, Executive Engineer, PWD (H), Estate Division, Kohima. He also commended Wabang Changkiri of M/s Flowmore Construction for completing the project well ahead of schedule.


Er. Ketousielie Kengurusie presented the technical report, detailing the construction process. The five-story RCC residential building covers a total area of 25,000 square feet and includes 16 flats: 10 two-bedroom units (900 sq. ft. each) and 6 three-bedroom units (1,200 sq. ft. each). The facility also features parking for 20 vehicles, a passenger lift, ramps for accessibility, a deep borewell and an underground water tank with a capacity of 1 lakh liters.


The project was completed in two phases at a total cost of Rs. 9.15 crore. Phase 1 (Rs. 4.73 Crore), which included the basement, ground floor, and first floor, commenced in March 2020 and was completed in August 2022. Phase 2 (Rs. 4.41 Crore), comprising the second and third floors, began in August 2022 and was completed in September 2024.


Kengurusie thanked M/s Flowmore Construction for their timely execution and adherence to technical specifications, as well as the department for ensuring timely fund disbursement.
Y. Mhathung Murry, Special Commissioner of State Taxes, who chaired the programme, welcomed the attendees and lauded the project’s role in promoting employee welfare.

Wabang Changkiri, representing M/s Flowmore Construction, also delivered a brief address, attributing the project’s success to collective efforts.


A special song was presented by Longshithung Patton and friends, Youth Director of Lotha Baptist Church, Dimapur. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Lima Imsong, Additional Commissioner, State Taxes, Nagaland, Dimapur, and a benediction by Rev. Dr. Athsan, Pastor of Yimkhiung Baptist Church, Dimapur.
