Axis Bank on Tuesday opened its fifth branch in Dimapur, the 15th branch in Nagaland, at ADC Court at Axis Bank Ltd. Ground & 1st Floor, DC Court, Road, Dimapur. The branch was inaugurated by advisor, Law& Justice and Land Revenue, T N Mannen as special guest.
In his speech, T N Mannen said banking has always been essential, evolving from a barter system to today’s financial institutions which manages finances and provides assistance, like loans or credit, with security and responsibility involved. He highlighted that financial institutions were essential for promoting the economy and supporting personal, family, and societal progress in modern life.
He explained that banks are ready to offer loans, credit, and other financial assistance during times of need. However, he acknowledged the lack of security has limited the use of banking services but expressed hope that this issues will be resolved. Other highlights of the event included ribbon cutting by the special guest, a short speech by the Cluster Head, Axis Bank Ltd Dimapur Cluster, Poujaulung and a song performance by Sales Manager Axis Max Life, Ilitoli K Awomi.
Earlier, the program was chaired by BRO ADC Court Branch, Zejano Ezung, invocation by Associate pastor DABA, Moalong and vote of thanks by Branch Head, Axis Bank Ltd ADC Court Branch, Moatola Longchar.
