As part of civic action programme, Assam Rifles have been conducting various activities including awareness programme among the residents.
In line with this, Assam Rifles organized an interaction programme, encouraging the students and teachers undergoing graduation studies at the College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (CoVS&AH),), work hard for a bright future.
Assam Rifles also conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) session at Modern College, Piphema. The session conducted by a medical expert, covered emergency response techniques, CPR training, and handling road traffic accidents, given the college’s proximity to NH-29. A total of by 150 students and 20 teachers attended the program.
Assam Rifles observed Veterans Day celebration across various districts state to honor the veterans and their families. The event, themed “Honouring the Brave. Serving Those Who Served,” was held in collaboration with the Assam Rifles Ex-Servicemen Association (ARESA).
To mark the day, a felicitation ceremony was organized recognizing distinguished veterans and widows with mementos and certificates. Veterans also engaged in an interactive session and heard about ongoing welfare initiatives. The event concluded with a cultural tribute by the Assam Rifles Band.
Assam Rifles observed World Tuberculosis (TB) Day on March 24, 2025, with an awareness program at Old Vongti Village, Kiphire district, , under the theme “Yes! We Can End TB: Commit, Invest, Deliver.”
The event focused on the urgent need to eliminate TB, highlighting the importance of commitment at local, national, and international levels. It featured interactive sessions on TB prevention, early detection, and accessible treatment, alongside initiatives promoting hygiene and reducing stigma.
The program aimed to raise awareness about TB, an airborne disease, and emphasized collective efforts to eradicate it and create healthier communities.
