ICAR Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Peren conducted a two-day “Training on Turmeric and Pineapple cum Field Visit under FRO” on April 8 and 9 at Mhainamtsi.
KVK Peren, Principal Scientist and Head, Dr. K. L. Meena, praised the Jalukie farmers for their efforts in commercial turmeric and pineapple cultivation. He encouraged them to adopt innovative technologies to boost yield per unit area.
KVK Peren, SMS–Fruit Science, Dr. Prashant Kalal, discussed the challenges in turmeric and pineapple cultivation. KVK Peren, SMS-agronomy, Dr. Akshay Ujjwal, spoke about the various weed management approaches in pineapple and turmeric crops using available resources. Vegetable seeds were distributed to 59 participants from the Jalukie block.
