Naga Distributors Union Kohima (NDUK) has extended its support to the Business Association of Nagas (BAN), criticizing the state government for failing to address unfair trade practices.
In a press release, NDUK called on the government to take swift action, reminding that such practices harm local businesses, disrupt market integrity, and threaten the livelihoods of many workers. The union stressed the need for fair competition and urged authorities to prevent monopolies and illegal syndicates from operating in the state.
NDUK further highlighted the disadvantages faced by legitimate, tax-paying traders due to unethical trade activities. The union also commended the Executive Officer of Medziphema Town Council for revoking the tender allotment for drinking water supply, a decision that safeguarded business interests.
