This is the third straight increase in subsidised cooking gas since July when the government decided to go in for a small hike in rates every month to cut down subsidies.<\/div>\n<div>In case of kerosene, the government has allowed state-owned oil companies to raise the price by 25 paise a litre each month for 10 months. Simultaneously, oil firms cut prices of non-subsidised LPG, which consumers buy after exhausting their quota of 12, by Rs 20.5 per 14.2-kg cylinder.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Priority for hilly states: Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has extended the benefits under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana to the people of all Hilly States including North-East States.
